ventureLAB hosts Singularity University’s 2015 Canadian Global Impact Competition

How can we improve the standard of living for one million Canadians within the next three to five years through the use of technology?

Irene Sterian, Executive Director, ReMAP will be a distinguished judge at Singularity University’s 2015 Canadian Global Impact Forum hosted by ventureLAB on April 2nd. The event will be held at the Markham Event Centre from 6-9 p.m.

This year’s competition is a chance to share great ideas on how to help improve the standard of living for Canadians through the use of technology. With the 2015 Canadian GIC held in York Region - part of an area known as the Digital Corridor, recognized as North America’s newest high tech corridor - Canada will rise to the challenge and show the world that we are a leader in technology and innovation.

Global Impact Competitions

Global Impact Competitions (GIC) are annual competitions held in partnership with sponsor organizations worldwide and organized by geography and theme. These competitions act as a platform to identify outstanding entrepreneurs, leaders, scientists and engineers with the most innovative ideas for positively impacting millions of lives locally and globally within the next three to five years. The winner of each competition is invited to attend the Graduate Studies Program (GSP) at Singularity University free of charge or receive reduced fees. The program accepts a maximum of 80 attendees each year through a highly competitive, global intake. The winner of the Global Impact Competitions get reserved admission.
