ReMAP Joins the Enterprise Canada Network to Expand Global Reach

(Toronto, September 16, 2014) The Refined Manufacturing Acceleration Process (ReMAP) is proud to announce its partnership with Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) by joining the Enterprise Canada Network (ECN).  Founded by CME, ECN celebrated the official launch of the network in Ottawa today.ECN is an industry-led single-window online platform that connects Canadian small businesses and researchers to thousands of qualified global opportunities, facilitates international partnerships and creates trade through access to public and private sector resources.“We are excited to expand and diversify the ReMAP network by opening new supply chain channels and developing relationships with strategic partners from around the world. ECN opens the door to opportunities through their online tool to collaborate with international partners to help accelerate the commercialization of electronics innovations developed in Canada,” said Irene Sterian, Executive Director, ReMAP.ECN provides an easy and cost-effective means for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and researchers to connect to thousands of global businesses and technology partners from over 50 countries worldwide. By building on recent Canadian trade agreements with the EU, for example, ECN has proven to be a powerful tool linking Canadians to global markets and technology.“Canada possesses some of the most promising technology and innovations in the world, yet not nearly enough of them are able to find global partners to catapult such technologies into marketable products and services,” said Philip Turi, CME’s Director of Global Business Services. “We believe ECN will help to address this challenge.” Through the ECN website, SMEs can receive daily updates featuring new international business, technology and research opportunities, connect to these prospective partners and post profiles about their products, services or expertise for broad international exposure.
