REMAP Proudly Achieves Cybersecure Canada Certification

As cyber threats become increasingly sophisticated, businesses must proactively enhance their cybersecurity measures to decrease their risk of attack and safeguard their valuable assets, information, and the trust of clients and partners. Regardless of sector, the threat of cyber-attacks looms large in today’s business environment.

While manufacturing processes grow increasingly sophisticated through digitization and advanced technologies ensuring robust cybersecurity becomes an essential priority. Given REMAP’s extensive efforts to partner across the advanced manufacturing ecosystem—enabling innovation, digitization, and operational excellence for Pan-Canadian small to medium enterprise (SME) manufacturers—we have taken a proactive approach to cybersecurity. Since 2024, our team has been steadily progressing toward certification under Cybersecure Canada’s CAN/CIOSC 104:2021 standard. This certification demands the establishment of a comprehensive Information Security System (ISS), a management framework compliant with Cybersecure Canada’s rigorous audit standards, and strong controls encompassing leadership, accountability, training, and thorough risk assessment.

“This is a proud moment for our organization,” said Loretta Renard, CEO, REMAP. “We are now officially recognized for our compliance to strong controls, ensuring trust and confidence for our partners, clients, granting agencies and other key stakeholders for whom cybersecurity is an ever-increasing concern.”

“This certification builds on our commitment to operating as the ‘gold standard’ for non-profits serving Canada’s manufacturing sector,” added Nimfa Sacun, CFO, REMAP. “In addition to demonstrating our commitment to proactively protecting the assets and information of our organization and diverse stakeholders, it’s also a very important milestone on the road to ISO27001 certification.”
